Engaged Voters in Wheaton!

Last night Rick spent a few hours talking with voters in Wheaton.  Devala Janardan and Uma Jayaraman graciously opened their home so he could meet and listen to voters in their neighbohood.  The topics of conversation ranged from the redevelopment of Wheaton, to the student achievment gap and the need for school construction funds in District 18.  There was also concern that the needs of Wheaton voters maybe a lower priority than those in other parts of the district, Rick assured them that if elected, he would be a legislator for ALL the citizens of District 18.

Former District 18 Delegate Endorses Rick!

Today, former Maryland House of Delegates Majority Leader and District 18 Delegate John Hurson announced his endorsement of Rick Kessler for District 18 Delegate in the June 24th Democratic Primary.

“Rick Kessler will be a fighter for Montgomery County and will bring strong leadership to the District 18 House Delegation,” said Hurson, who served in the House of Delegates from 1991– 2005. He added: “Rick is committed to District 18 and has the experience, skills and temperament to be a truly effective advocate for our values and for increased funding on key items for our area, including school construction and transit.”
